BordQ Setup Guide
This guide covers the full path from purchase to first working sound: getting a license, downloading the app, installing components, and getting audio routing into Discord, OBS, Zoom, Teams, or a game.
Step 1 — Purchase a license
Visit the Shop and choose the license that matches your setup. Keep the confirmation email until the license appears in your account.
Step 2 — Copy your license key
Sign in with the same account used at checkout. Go to Your Licenses. Click Copy key beside the issued key.
Step 3 — Download for free
The installer is free. Download BordQ, save the Windows installer, and run the latest signed build.
Step 4 — Install every component
The NSIS installer offers: WebView2 Runtime, VB-Cable Virtual Audio Device, AI Voice Changer Engine (optional), and a desktop shortcut. Install all components for the full workflow. If this is your first VB-Cable install and audio devices aren't visible yet, restart Windows.
Step 5 — Audio routing
In BordQ App Settings: set Virtual Cable (Output) to VB-Cable Input and click Start Engine. In your destination app: set the microphone/input to Cable Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable).
Step 6 — Enter your license key
In BordQ, open the license section, paste the copied key, and activate. Your purchased modules unlock immediately.
Common issues
- VB-Cable not visible after install → restart Windows, then refresh audio devices.
- Sound plays but Discord hears nothing → confirm Discord input is set to Cable Output (not your hardware mic).
- Music sounds warbly or muffled → disable Echo Cancellation, Noise Suppression, Automatic Gain Control, voice isolation, and similar settings in Discord or your headset software.
