BordQ Soundboard Controls
The soundboard is BordQ's core feature. It lets you fire sound clips instantly while talking, streaming, or gaming — without switching windows.
Audio Setup
Set Virtual Cable (Output) to VB-Cable Input and click Start Engine. The destination app needs its microphone set to Cable Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable). Finish Beep, Voice Overlap, and Monitor Volume control what you and listeners hear.
Profiles
Profiles are separate sets of sound buttons — create one per scene, game, or call context. Click any tab to switch instantly. Export saves a profile as a .bqp file. The free trial limits you to one profile; a licensed copy gives unlimited profiles.
Edit mode and button layout
Click Edit to enter configuration mode. Drag buttons by their handle to reorder them. Click an empty tile to add a new sound. Click a filled button to open its editor. Click Done to lock the layout.
Button editor
Each button accepts audio or video files by drag-and-drop or file browser. Supported formats: .mp3, .wav, .ogg, .flac, and video files (.mp4, .webm, .mkv, .avi, .mov — audio is extracted). Set volume (0–200%), assign a hotkey, trim the clip, or attach an image or icon.
Hotkeys and Stream Deck
Record any key combination like Ctrl+Shift+F1. The hotkey fires while BordQ is in the background. Stream Deck can trigger the same sound using its Hotkey action with the exact same combo. Avoid common system or game shortcuts.
Audio Trimmer
Attach a file, click Trim Audio. The waveform view lets you drag selection edges to set start and end. Preview plays only the selected region. Save Trim creates a new trimmed WAV. Click Save Changes to keep it on the button.
Audio quality tip
Discord, Zoom, Teams, and headset software are tuned for speech cleanup. Echo Cancellation, Noise Suppression, Automatic Gain Control, voice isolation, and similar settings can damage music, ambience, bass, cymbals, and full-range clips. For music-like soundboard content, disable these settings in Discord or your headset app. Symptoms of unwanted cleanup: warbling, pumping, missing bass, underwater tone.
